I want to see if popclip can support submenu, so after clicking one action button, it shows another row of sub menu, that way, I can group a lot of small text processing functions in one extension; also can have multiple prompts for one the Ai action button.
currently, I can use apple script sub menu to work around it, it works, but not pretty
It’s not possible now, but I plan to add this. It will be allow awesome new ways to design extensions.
(Don’t ask me when it’s coming though, because I don’t know. I’m currently planning the next steps. There are 100 features I want to implement, but can only do one at a time and there’s a certain natural order to do things to get it right.)
Could you explain me how do you use apple script in your case? I also see need of submenus in many my cases.
Hi
I see big possibilities in my daily task, but have question/idea.
Is it possible to make submenus to group similar actions like for Brackets? Another idea - dynamically activate such menus in case of specified application in foreground during making selection.
Hi @nutilius – I moved your post to this topic to keep things tidy. See response above – I want to bring submenu feature to PopClip.
It doesn’t look to me like you’re using standard context menus - which must make this more difficult.
