Chat GPT immediately returns a 429 Code that I “exceeded my data” when I add my API key and tried to use it with PopClip. I have a paid Chat GPT plan. Has anyone experienced this? I emailed Open AI support too. Thanks!

This is a frequent source of confusion because the ChatGPT Plus subscription ($20 a month) does not include the use of the OpenAI API.
You may see the following error:
Message from OpenAI (code 429): You exceeded your current quota, please check your plan and billing data.
The message means you need to add some credit to your OpenAI API account. You can do this at https://platform.openai.com/account/billing/overview. (Even if you already have ChatGPT Plus, you still need to have API credits on your account to use the extension.)
