Hi all (hi Nick!) - I am using running DEVONthink 4 and noticed a strange issue, and traced it down to PopClip:
In DEVONthink, I select a pdf record with a text layer - it is displayed in the “viewer” window (via Apple’s PDFKit).
If PopClip is ON, when I double-click some text in the pdf, it selects that text - but also creates a new rtf file in DEVONthink, with the entire text layer of the original pdf.
If I turn PopClip OFF - dbl-click works normally.
With PopClip ON, PopClip’s “Copy” doesn’t work either.
I suspect it’s a matter of updating the DT extension - right?
Thanks for reporting it. It’s actually not going to be the DT extension. Rather, it’l be some kind of interaction or incompatibility between PopClip itself and DT4.
For now I’d recommend adding DT4 to PopClip’s excluded apps list – should prevent the immedtae issue. You can still activate PopClip with its keyboard shortcut.
Thank you Nick! - Just added DT4 to the exclude app list, and will update Jim and cgrunenberg at DT as well, they wanted to know. In the meantime, very happy using PopClip, brilliant app!
