Customise UI/Theme

Is it be possible to change the UI/Theme of this application? I would like it to have a frosted/translucent like UI that fits with the rest of the macOS as the current one looks a little too old for my taste. Thanks.

Hi @koushikneri, welcome to the forum. Request noted.

Hopefully this is somewhat in the pipeline. It was the only reason I was hesitant regarding buying popclip. At the end I bought it anyways. But it still annoys me…

I don’t have anything planned for visual adjustments to the PopClip bar; however, I am working on a revamp and modernisation of the preferences windows. I’m always happy to listen to ideas, so please feel free to describe in more detail what you are looking for and why.

Personally I think BaTfi does have a pretty nice UI. Something like that is modern and fits the native macOS ui.

Would love if the bar gets an update and maybe the option to have a vertical layout. Also is it possible to make the bar pop up only if I highlight while pressing a specified button?

In my own opinion the black or white PopClip bar is kinda timeless and to me it doesn’t feel dated or out of keeping with the rest of the UI. But then, I am an old man. I’ll give it some thought.

You can turn PopClip “OFF” and then set a keyboard shortcut in PopClip prefs and press that to make PopClip appear.

For me personally it felt somewhat off but I am a new MacBook user so take my word with a pinch of salt. It reminded me of the MacBooks I’ve used back in school
On the other hand I don’t see many people complaining so might be just me…

Maybe it is possible to integrate pop clip into the macOS right click menu?

Thanks for the tip. It is definitely a blessing when other apps have their own overlay!

Also if there are just particular apps with overlays but you otherwise want PopClip on auto-appear, you can add those to the excluded apps list and still use the shortcut.
