Is there an extension to add an Apple Text Replacement entry

It would be great if I could highlight a bunch of text and then create an apple keyboard text replacement snippet from that. Is that possible, or does it already exist?

I think that this might be doable with Apple script.

I do not use Apple text expansion. I use Typinator and have an Apple script that adds a new snippet.

Iā€™m curious if somebody would have written something to add text snippet to Apple text replacement. It would be kind of tricky since the menus and the buttons you have to click are not very automation friendly in System Preferences. I did not find anything like this written in the Alfred forum as well.

One way to do this would be if you use Keyboard Maestro or BetterTouchTool. Both the softwares have image matching and click functionality. So you could basically tell them to click a specific buttons in System Preferences based on how they looks and the software can click those. But in the end you would still need to enter the text I think.
