Modifier key to *prevent* PopClip appearing?

One of the oldest, biggest fans of PopClip here!

My favorite note-taking app, Evernote, has just added a pop-up menu similar to PopClip’s when text is selected. I never get to peruse it because PopClip covers it up.

I thought there was a modifier key that would prevent PopClip appearing but I can’t find it in Settings.

Hey, wait! I just tried holding Cmd before selecting text and it does exactly what I want. IDK if I should thank Evernote or PopClip, but thanks! Does this work in other apps? If there’s a setting for this, where is it?

It’s a feature in PopClip. If you hold down Command, then PopClip won’t appear. (There’s no setting – it’s always just Command.)

PopClip also has an excluded apps list so you could add Evernote to that list, and it won’t appear there unless you invoke PopClip’s keyboard shortcut.
