popclip in Zotero

Hi, thank you for an awesome app!
I noticed that Popclip doesn’t seem to work in Zotero (a popular app for citation management/pdf annotation): it’s not triggered neither automatically nor via my shortcut when I select texts on a pdf open in Zotero.

  • Is this an expected behavior?
  • Would there be a way to make Popclip work in Zotero? Since zotero has a default behavior of popping up a highlight-color selector upon a text selection, I understand Popclip might conflict with that. However, if I can manually activate Popclip, that’d still be sufficient and great!:slight_smile:

Zotero 6 or 7 or both?

I’m using Zotero 6. Not sure of 7.

I have no issues with PopClip in Zotero 7, which recently has been released. Neither in the application’s interface when e.g. editing metadata not when I open a pdf file within Zotero.

As I don’t run Zotero 6 anymore, I haven’t checked issues with this version.

Consider updating to Zotero 7 if you don’t rely on Zotero add-ons that haven’t been updated for the new version.

I just downloaded Zotero from Zotero | Your personal research assistant which is currently version 7.0.1 – it seemed to be working OK for me too.
