PopClip on macOS 26 Tahoe

I have briefly tested PopClip (2024.12) on the first macOS Tahoe beta, I do NOT recommend Tahoe with PopClip yet.

PopClip itself seems to be working fine, but the prefs window doesn’t work at all! You can’t click on any of the controls.

Please do let me know if you run into any other issues. Feel free to email support@pilotmoon.com or user this thread.

Also, I am working on a PopClip update. It’s quite a big one and it’s taking a little longer than I expected. It’ll be ready when it’s ready; I’ll post in the forum when the first beta is up.

I also installed Tahoe, but there are some issues with popclip:

  1. I cannot click on the extension configuration button.

  2. I cannot click on the Add and Edit buttons in the extension list.

I don’t know under what circumstances it works once, but when I click again, there is no response.

Thank you for reporting this. I can confirm the same (never even thought to try those buttons yet!!)

It will all be fixed :+1:

I tried other buttons, but none of the UI elements related to the settings interface could be clicked, not even the selection list.

I need to take back my statement that it works!

That window is already completely gone from the next version anyway. PopClip is moving on from that menubar-attached popover…

Good news. When can we roughly expect the new beta?

Hard to say, but still a few weeks I expect.

Hello, besides dofyyu issues,
I cannot choose(check) the action I added

On a side note, whenever I get a new Mac or install the OS, after 1Password, PopClip is the next app I always install. Thanks for making such a elegant, useful little work of art.

Hello - a light test of PopClip using Tahoe Beta 4 still appears to have similar problems as Beta 3, so have uninstalled for now.

Using Tahoe 26.0 Beta (25A5316i)

As you said … cannot click on the controls. But, the actions still seem to work.

Latest Beta 5 (Version 26.0 Beta (25A5327h)) has same issues

I am already on Tahoe 26. It works 99%. Since I can’t change the preference in the pop clip now, where does it store the setting for the “excluded” apps? I tried to search all the places under ~/library, can’t find it. I saw plist for extensions but not excluded apps. I need to add some additional ones.

Settings are in ~/Library/Preferences/com.pilotmoon.popclip.plist

But rather than edit that file do at Terminal:

defaults write com.pilotmoon.popclip BlockedApps -array-add <bundle id of app>

tto set the excluded apps list.

(also

defaults read com.pilotmoon.popclip

to read all prefs)

I’m hoping to have the first Tahoe beta by end of next week.

hmm, my old eyes. I did check that file ~/Library/Preferences/com.pilotmoon.popclip.plist, but didn’t notice it uses bundle id instead of app name.
Thanks a lot.

I may be the only one but I’m checking daily for the update and hoping some new features make an appearance :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

I’m watching my email as I am subscribed to this thread. Waiting for the beta announcement. But, for the moment, PopClip works fine on Tahoe. Just can’t delve into settings, but the copy function works fine.
