Print selection (new and improved)

I’ve used the “Print” extension to print selected text (a function that would be nice to have as part of MacOS…). I get the printed text, but the formatting is very ugly. There seems to be no way to change the font, or make a bigger margin (it prints hard up to the left hand side of the paper).

Sure, I could copy and paste the text into a Note, but there must be a better way.

Has anyone ever come up with a Print extension that has better formatting, or enables you to set fonts, margins etc.? I’ve tried looking at making my own, but it’s beyond my capabilities at the moment.

I’m glad you are getting use from the Print extension!

The current implementation is very basic. It just calls this exact shell script:

print $POPCLIP_TEXT | lp

I’m not sure how options like font can be adjusted. Suggestions here, or improvements via pull request to the git repo will be welcome.
