Small translation error

Hello,

I think there may be a translation error in the settings.
In the three main reglages menus, the second in French is written “Opération”, whereas in my opinion, “Extensions” would be more appropriate, given that this is the extensions menu.

Hello, thank you. The original word in english is “Actions”, not “Extensions”. This is the actions list.

(Actions are buttons in the PopClip bar. Extensions are what you install to add actions. And note that you can have more than one action per extension, with the Duplicate and New Instance commands.)

We also have now the Extensions sheet, which is translated as “Extensions” in French:

I understand better now.

The term “Actions” is perfectly acceptable in French, and I even think it’s preferable to “Opérations”.

In an application, you perform actions, whereas “Opérations” is generally associated with calculations or medicine.

Thank you! I would blame Opérations vs Actions on machine translation, but actually this was done by a human translator :face_with_tongue: :man_shrugging:

And generally, I am very receptive to translation suggestions like this :folded_hands:

Full disclosure, I do use an LLM coding agent to help with the translations now. “Pay per job” human translation is expensive and, frankly, not always very good!

Translations from actual users are especially welcome because you have the full context and knowledge of the application, which a commercial translator does not have.

For the new PopClip version I have now published all translations in a GitHub repo to which I invite contributions: https://github.com/pilotmoon/PopClip-Localization.

French is such a complex language! Even I’m not very good in my own language. :stuck_out_tongue: But I’d take a look at the repository to see if anything offends me.
