Is it possible to have an extension that would allow me to decide which Safari profile I want to send my selection to?
I’m not sure. Since Safari profiles are new, I don’t know a lot about them. On initial investigation however, it doesn’t look like they have provided ways to programatically set which profile a link will open in. Neither from the command line nor AppleScript.
As far as I can tell, links from outside of Safari just open in the profile used most recently, unless you have set URL matching rules in Safari itself.
So I’d say for now the answer is no.
If anyone has any technical info to shed light on a way forward for this, please do share.
