"Transpose Paste" (cf. MS Excel) rows → columns, or vice versa

In MS Excel you can copy a copy a block of cells and “Transpose Paste” them into an orthogonal arrangement. E.g.,

A, B, C,

becomes,

A,
B,
C,

Is this something that could be achieved in PopClip?

In iWork, Numbers this feature is missing—which is why it occurred to me, but I guess that it could be more generally useful to people…?

TIA

I think it could be as straightforward as replacing tabs (and maybe also commas) with new lines? Not at my computer atm to test it.

Actually I’ve been wanting something similar myself. To turn a comma separated list into a newline
Separated list. Although I think I wouldn’t want to preserve the commas in line by line form.

Thank you both—I’ve yet to attempt to build anything myself yet, but now that I know that it’s possible, I’ll give it a go when I have some time.

Cheers!

So I actually completely forgot I already made this for myself for a little task I was doing a few months ago:

CommaList.popclipextz (2.6 KB)

I’s a bit rough and ready and doesn’t have an icon yet — but let me know how you find it!
