I’m using the default search extension in PopClip and I select any text and click on the little magnifying glass. And instead of opening a single tab in Orion, it opens two tabs, two tabs that are identical. Both are the same search. I tried setting my default browser to Safari and everything works as expected, a single tab. Switch it back to Orion and I’m getting two tabs opening.
Thanks for reporting this. I didn’t spot it earlier, so let’s come back around to it now.
I’ve since released a new version of PopClip. Is it still affecting you in PopClip 2026.7.1? If so, I wonder if you might be willing to try the latest beta (enable beta updates in PopClip update settings), in which I have paid some further attention to tab opening.
