Following the usefulness of the last beta thread I’m starting a new one for this next round of betas following 2025.9 release.

Just published Build 5131.

Please note as of 2025.9 you can now get betas just by enabling it in prefs:

Changes:

Added

  • Added tooltip for extension names that overlow the width of the Actions table. [thanks @Kolkrabe for suggesting]

Fixed

  • Fixed bug where Auto and Auto (Inverse) color modes would not update when the
    system color scheme changes. [thanks @Popalyps for reporting]
  • Fixed bug where the keyboard shortcut would not show PopClip when in an
    excluded website.
  • Allow app to quit while showing a modal sheet (such as action settings,
    license details, or release notes) or the file select dialog.

Compatibility

  • Support Plex Desktop app.
  • Recognises Helium as a browser.

This beta is nicely self-contained and seems to be stable, so I have pushed it out as production release 2025.9.1 (5132) so everyone can get the benefit of the fixes right away.

Will continue to use this topic for the next betas.

Just pushed out Build 5135 with some minor fixes.

Changes:

Fixed

  • Fixed crash at launch when all actions except Spelling are disabled.
  • Fixed missing icons in License Details view.

Developer

  • Disable JavaScript inspectability in Safari by default. (Enable with
    defaults write com.pilotmoon.popclip EnableJSInspection -bool true.) [re. issue in forum post]

Another bug fix update, Build 5150:

Fixed

  • Fix bug where snippets with blank lines would not load correctly. [reported
    by @yfs on forum]

  • JavaScript: Updated bundled npm libraries to latest versions.
  • JavaScript: Added valibot and fast-plist to bundled npm libraries.
